Dear Mr. Haynes:
We are enclosing a copy of plan sheet number 11 of the City of Coppell's Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Project, from Denton Tap Road to the Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank. As indicated in our letter
to your firm dated March 5, 1998, the plans have been prepared to coordinate with the water line project under
design by your firm on the east side of Denton Tap Road. Please review our plans at your earliest convenience
and confirm your project ending location and elevation. We would also like a copy of your final plans in this
same vicinity.
This project is currently under contract for construction and a work order has been issued to the contractor,
Based on our discussions with the contractor, we understand he is scheduling to begin his bore of Sandy Lake
Road within the next few weeks. Therefore your timely response is appreciated.
We understand the previous project manager, Mr. Greg Saunders, P.E., is no longer with your firm and you
may not be familiar with our previous coordination efforts, As such, we are enclosing copies of our previous
correspondence with your firm in order to assist you in your review of the project.

Sandy Lake Road Water Line
(Denton Tap Road to Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank)
Dear Mr. Allison:
Wc have completed our design of Sandy Lake Road Water Line, from Denton Tap Road to the Wagon Wheel
Ranch Elevated Storage Tank, for the City of Coppell. During our last review meeting with the City of
Coppell, we learned the proposed water line included in your firm's design of improvements to Sandy Lake
Road, east of Denton Tap Road, may not be competed prior the our project. As such, the City has requested
we include the construction of the proposed 24-inch water line across Denton Tap Road and connect to the
existing 16-inch water line on the east side of the intersection.
As we discussed last week, we are enclosing one set &our construction plans for the Sandy Lake Road Water
Line west of Denton Tap Road. Please review sheet 11 of our plans and compare it to your proposed
improvements at this intersection. We are open to either incorporating your plans for this intersection into
our plans, or making the necessary revisions in the intersection directly on our plans and changing the limits
of our scope of work. Once you have completed your review, please give me a call so that we can make the
necessary arrangements to resolve this last issue on our project.

· visions required.
The City has scheduled to advertise this project for construction early this spring, as its completion is critical
to the proper operation of the water'distribution system and the proposed Wagon Wheel Ranch elevated
storage tank. Thank you for your cooperation on this portion of our project. We look forward to working
with you in assisting the City of Coppell. We are available to discuss the project further at your convenience.

Re: Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Utility Easement across property of Steve J. Anderson, III
Dear Mr. Griffin:
As you requested, we have prepared a plat and field note description for the permanent utility easement
required across the property of Mr. Steve J. Anderson, III, for the construction of the Sandy Lake Road Water
Line Project. As we discussed, the proposed easement is located 15-feet south of the existing south right-of-
way line of Sandy Lake Road. We have also shown the future 5-foot wide wall and maintenance easement
immediately south of the proposed utility easement. We are enclosing two copies for your use in acquiring the
necessary easement.
Also as we discussed, we have coordinated our design efforts at the Denton Tap Road / Sandy Lake Road
intersection with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. We have reviewed their proposed construction plans for
the intersection. As it appears the Sandy Lake Road water line project may be proceeding ahead of the
proposed improvements to the east of Denton Tap Road, we recommend the Sandy Lake Road water line
across Denton Tap Road be included in our construction plans. We have discussed this with Kimley-Horn's
project engineer, Mr. Greg Saunders, and understand he concurs with this approach. Therefore, we are
proceeding with the water line construction plans in the intersection and will forward a preliminary set to both
· ou and Mr. Saunders upon completion.
We are available to discuss this project further at your convenience.
Sincerely yours,
G~~njcks, i~.E.

Re: Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Denton Tap Road to the Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank
Dear Mr. Griffin:
As we indicated in our letter to you dated March 2, 1998, we have coordinated our construction plans with the
design efforts underway by Kimely-Horn & Associates, Inc. for the improvements to Sandy Lake Road east
of Denton Tap. Based on our discussions with Mr. Greg Saunders, P.E. of Kimely-Horn, we concluded it
would be best for the City of Coppell if the Sandy Lake Road Water Line project extended across to the east
side of Denton Tap Road and connected to the existing 16-inch water line.
We are enclosing three (3) preliminary prints of construction plan sheet number 11 which incorporates these
recommended changes. This set is for your review and comment. By copy of this letter, we are also
forwarding the revised preliminary plan to Kimely-Horn & Associates, Inc. and the affected utility
companies.
If the revisions meet with your approval, we will make the necessary changes to the project specification and
bid documents and publish a revised opinion of probable construction cost to include the changes.
We are available to discuss this project further at your convenience.
