We’ll barricade everything off tomorrow and get started with our sawing and removals. Our surveyor can’t get
back out there until tomorrow to revise the grades and mark the pavement removals.
Please let me know if this poses any problems.
Albert, can you please check and see if public works wants any of our asphalt millings? We should start milling
late tomorrow or first thing Monday. I also plan to get over there tomorrow to confirm the dirt dump location.
I’ll call you when I’m headed that direction.
Thanks,
Adrian

Lee,
What is your timeline for setting barricades and beginning the project? The updated plans are here at our
office, you can pick them up or call Albert and he can give them to you.
Thanks,
Mike

Gentlemen,
Our surveyor has been on site to stake the Kimbel Kourt Project. With the existing elevations on the south
end of the project at the tie in point and the proposed high point at station 2+00 the grade of the roadway is
approximately 0.2%. This is well below the 0.5% minimum set by the city. This presents a problem with
drainage and a solution needs to be made quickly in order of us to complete the project before the start of
school. We are at a standstill until the elevations can be worked out. Without proper elevations and a
solution we can not set grade and get anything installed. We are only being paid to go out there once and
we don’t want to have to do anything twice which could be the case if we continue before these elevations
are resolved. It is extremely important that a solution be in place very quickly.
A possible solution is to remove approximately 20’ of additional pavement on the south end and move the
proposed high point to the north. This will gain more of an elevation difference and get us closer to the 0.5%
grade. This solution would require that the approach to the pump station to be redesigned to remove
additional pavement.

Our surveyor has been working with Scott and once he verifies the existing elevations we ask that solution
be put in place for us to continue our work.
