RE: Deforest Road, Project #ST 05 -01
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Salloum:
As I hope you are already aware, the city has begun the process to reconstruct Deforest Road
from MacArthur Blvd. to Windsor Estates. The existing asphalt roadway will be removed and
replaced with a 28 -foot wide concrete street with curbs and improved drainage. The drainage
ditches along the side of the road will be filled in, and storm sewer inlets and sidewalks will
be constructed within the roadway. The completed project will improve traffic conditions,
safety, pedestrian access and drainage. The intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and
Deforest Road will also be signalized.
It has come to my attention that the proposed work will require grading on your property. The
purpose of the grading is to eliminate the existing drainage ditch. Please contact me at your
