Keith Marvin - RE: Coppell Rd.- Bethel Rd. Page 1 From: Keith Marvin To: paul.bowles ©verizon.com Date: 4/5/2005 11:37:59 AM Subject: RE: Coppell Rd.- Bethel Rd. Paul, As I indicated to Ameriss my boss is considering this request. If we were to move forward in this direction it would require some form of written agreement between the city and Verizon. This agreement would require the approval of our City Council. It may be easier to acquire easements or right of way at this time that would allow you to locate in a place that would not be in conflict with the future street construction. I would be happy to facilitate a meeting to discuss these options. Feel free to call to set up a time. As far as work goes on the balance of your permits, you may run into some similar situations in other areas of town, but we will not hold anything else up due to this particular issue. Keith R. Awaiting this approval, will Verizon be allowed to submit permits for others routes, and start construction? Thanks Keith, I will put this work order on hold until a decision is made. I will forward this email to the Verizon management so they can be prepared. We don't allow new installations to go in overhead. Because this is a unique situation he said he'll think about it. In the event he agrees to the concept, we would need a written agreement with Verizon, and it would need to be approved by City Council. Keith R. Marvin, P.E. City of Coppell (972) 304-7044 kmarvin »> "Jack Dwyer" <Jack.Dwyerameriss.com> cni 04/04/05 9:17 AM »> Keith I'm trying to find an alternate route for the 3PF01 KJ work order due to right of way issues. Verizon has an existing conduit run on the west side of Coppell Rd. that goes all the way down to Bethel Rd. At Bethel the conduit run goes to the west to serve the industrial park area. We could use the conduit run up to Bethel Rd. Once we get to Bethel, I would like to propose a temporary aerial build going east along Bethel Rd. until the right of way is secure. The aerial build would consist of lashing the cable to existing poles. Once the right of way issues have been resolved Verizon would build the underground portion along Bethel Rd. Let me know what you think, thanks Jack
