Dear Mr. Doyle:
Per your instructions in our m~ting on May 25, 1989, transmitted
herewith is Ed Bell Const~ction Co. 's price for adding the above
referenced project by change order to ~e Belt Line Roa4 (South)
project. As per their letter, ~ese prices are contingent upon
this change order not delaying final acceptance and the releasing
of their retainage on the Belt Line Road (South) project when
that project is completed.
Their total price for this project based on the approximate plan
quantities is $121,391.20. Please note that this price does not
include any median irrigation since that design was not complete
yet at the time a price was requested of them. We estimate the
irrigation cost to be between $9,000.00 and $11,000.00. This
would reflect a total construction cost of approximately
$132,000.00.
They are requesting 120 calendar days to complete this work as
noted on the last page of the price sheet.
Please review the price submitted and advise as to the direction
the City would like to proceed with at this time (ie., bidding
vs. change order). Please call if you have any questions.
