NOTES:
This meeting was held so that the City of Irving and the City
of Coppell could come to an agreement regarding the location of
the centerline of Beltline Road at the bridge over I.H. 635.
A1 Rollins presented an exhibit showing the relationship
between the centerline of the existing bridge and the City of
Irving's proposed centerline. It showed the City of Irving's
proposed centerline to be offset 5 feet to the west of the
centerline of the existing bridge. Kevin Peiffer of Ginn, Inc.
noted that the City of Coppell's eenterline is offset from the
centerline of the existing bridge approximately 10 feet to the
east. Thus, the offset between the City of Irving's and thc
City of Coppell's centerline is approximately 15 feet.
Mr. Ed Powell of the City of Coppeil had not naa time to
research the subject and was reluctant to make a decisiom
without determining how a 15 foot shift in the Coppeli
centerline would affect right-of-way acquisition.
Ed Powell and Kevtn Peiffer are to meet with Jerry Bevel on
Friday, February 7 to reach a decision. Mr. Powell indicated
that he would call Scott Young of SDHPT Monday, February 10
with the final decision and follow this with a letter.
Scott Young said that after receiving this letter, he would
inform Schrickel, Rollins and Associates of the decision so
that they may complete their field work. This decision must be
made before any actual design work can begin.
