Dear Mr. Craft:
Per our recent discussions, this letter.' is to advise you that
Dallas County greatly appreciates .your Offer of additional
donations of land to the referenced park. Thesedonations would be
in addition to the 15.537 acres of park land donated in 1991. It
is our underStanding that these additional donations would be made
in a-phasedprocess matching your re-zoning and development ~of~ the-
adjacent property. /
The initial donation .would'contain approximately 1.5 acres-of
adjacent land immediately east of the existing..'park and is located
on the east side of Grapevine Creek.- The SeCond phase of' the
donation would involve a land exchange whereby additional land~,
including the :western tip of the historic improvements which are
not currently located within the park, 'would be donated to'the
County. The County, in turn, would deed to Bapt-ist Foundation of
Texas certain adjacent- Park .lands for- use in -the overall
development. This land exchange would result in a net increase of
land to Dallas County with exact.area.yet to be determined.
We sincerely appreciate you working with us in providing, these
additional donations. In addition, we would like to'emphasize 'our
strong support for the re-zoning you currently are pursuing with
the adjacent areas. We feel the residential zoning adjacent to the
park will be a, significant improvement and help maintain the
overall qUality of the park Over the long-term.- In addition, your
efforts to save as many of the existing trees in-the adjacent
residential development-is appreciated.. ,
We look forward to working with you closely as your development
process proceeds and finalizing the agreements to accomplish the
