RE: Sandy Lake Road
ST 99-02 (A)
Street Repair
Due to the failure of asphalt pavement in the westbound lane on West Sandy Lake Rd.,
Tiseo has been asked to repair the paving. While removing the existing asphalt, 2-4”
conduits were encountered just below the paving. The conduit is approximately 200’ in
length beginning from the existing concrete pavement and runs west. When the conduit
was exposed the condition of the conduit was broken in a 2’section and nothing was in
the conduit. The integrity concern is that the conduits are in the existing paving
elevation, which may cause future pavement issues.
The markings on the paving indicate that the conduit is owned by Time Warner
Telecommunications. Time Warner Telecom was notified and there was no response or
indication whether it was abandoned or if they would relocate. Instruction to the
contractor was to continue the pavement repair using best construction practices.
Sincerely,
Larry Davis
