Consulting Engineer's Contract
Modification to the Scope of Services
I. Scope of Work
TNP shall provide professional civil engineering services, as outlined below, for the
preparation of design plans for approximately 700 LF of 8 -inch waterline and 3,500 LF of 8-
inch sanitary sewer line in conjunction with design of the West Sandy Lake Road
reconstruction project in the City of Coppell. The plans will be prepared according to and will
meet the City of Coppell requirements and will be included with the roadway plans being
prepared by TNP. This modification is for additional services associated with the existing
contract. Previous and ongoing work being done under this existing contract will be utilized,
including meeting information, specifications, and design standards. Generally, the work
items below will be followed in preparing design plans, specifications, and cost estimate data:
a) Gather data on the location of existing water /sewer lines to be replaced or connected to.
b) Acquire additional field survey data to confirm existing utilities, and the location new
improvements that have occurred since the previous survey by TNP.
c) Evaluate the proposed roadway corridor to determine alignment alternatives to fit within
the constraints of other existing and proposed facilities.
d) Prepare preliminary design plans for review by the City.
e) Upon approval of preliminary plans, prepare final design plans to be included in the
overall construction plan set prepared by TNP.
11. Project Schedule
The work will generally proceed within the remaining schedule for West Sandy Lake Road
project, as determined jointly by the City and TNP.
111. Compensation
The Engineer shall be paid an additional lump sum fee for the above described Additional
Scope of Services in an amount of Forty Thousand, and no /100 Dollars ($40,000). This
amount includes the following increases:
Additional Design Survey $ 10,000
Additional Engineering Design $ 30,000
TOTAL $ 40,000
