•The Coppell Farmers Market Farm to Table Dinner will be held
Sunday, June 5, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with appetizers and a tour at
Coppell Community Garden followed by dinner and wine in Grapevine

•Screenings to reduce the risk of having a stroke or bone fracture
will be held at Rejoice Lutheran Church on Monday, June 6, at 532
East Sandy Lake Road. Life Line Screening will provide the screen-
ings, which are designed to identify potential cardiovascular condi-
tions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal
aortic aneurysms, and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a
strong predictor of heart disease. A bone density screening to assess
osteoporosis risk is also offered and is appropriate for men and women.
Packages for the screenings start at $119 All five screenings take 60 to
90 minutes to complete. For more information regarding the screen-

•The Coppell Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volun-
teers for several subcommittees to help with the rebuilding of Kid
Country. To volunteer for one of the committees, or for more informa-

•Reconstruction of the intersection of Belt Line and Denton Tap
Roads, including replacement of the intersection's brick pavers with
stamped concrete pavement, is anticipated to start around June 6,
according to the City Engineering Department.
