MEMORANDUM
From: Gary C. Hendricks
Date: January 6, 1999
Subject: Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Ken:
Thanks for the mark-ups you provided us from Lone Star Gas for the Sandy Lake Road Water Line Project.
For your information, we located the existing gas lines on the plans to the best of our ability based on our field
surveys. Once the alignment and grade of the proposed water line was set and met with the City' s satisfaction,
we forwarded two preliminary sets to each utility company for their review and comment. That was done on
February 23, 1998 (see attached letter to LSG as an example). You should have received copies of those
letters. The only response we received from was from Lone Star Gas Transmission on March 5, 1998. We
made the corrections requested by Mr. T.W. Rudd.
In October of 1998, we set had a final set of plans ready to bid and had set a preliminary bid date for early
November. Having not heard from a majority of the utility companies, we sent out another letter informing
them of the project and providing them with final plans. That letter went out on October 3, 1998 (see
attached). Again, we have had no response other than the set of mark-ups from Lone Star Gas you provided us
today. Upon closer review of the plans, I believe you will see where we have indicated the general location of
the gas line in both the plan and profile views, where we thought them to be, and have provided warning notes
and phone numbers on the plans.
It does not appear this will create any significant or unusual problems for this project; however, we will
provide these mark-ups to the contractor at the pre-constmction conference.

Re: City of Coppell
Sandy Lake Road Water Line
(Denton Tap Road to the Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank)
Gentlemen:
We are enclosing two sets of preliminary construction plans for the City of Coppell, Sandy Lake Road Water
Line project, from Denton Tap Road to the proposed Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank. These sets
are for your review and comment. We have located existing utilities to the best of our knowledge based on
information gathered during our field surveys and provided by the City. A large portion of this project is to
be constructed in easements on private property which minimizes the potential conflicts. Nonetheless, please
review the plans carefully and notify us &any revisions required or conflicts anticipated by return one mark-
up set back to our office.
The City of Coppell expects to advertise this project for bids early this spring with construction to start before
this summer. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely yours,
Gary C. Hendricks, P.E.

Re: City of Coppell
Sandy Lake Road Water Line
(Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank to Denton Tap Road)
Gentlemen:
We are enclosing one set of final construction plans for the City of Coppell, Sandy Lake Road Water Line
project, from Denton Tap Road to the proposed Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank. These sets are
for your use during construction of this project and replace the set we provided you in February of this year
for your review and comment (see attached letter). As of the date of this letter we have yet to receive your
review comments. Nonetheless, we have located existing utilities to the best of our knowledge based on
information gathered during our field surveys and provided by the City. A large portion of this project is to
be constructed in easements on private property which minimizes the potential conflicts.
At this stage, the City intends to award a construction contract for this project in early November, 1998 with
construction to begin by January, 1999. We will keep you informed of the project schedule and notify you of
the time and date of the pre-construction conference. If you have any questions, or need additional
information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
