RE: S.H. 121 ramps
Date: February 5, 1994
Attached to this memo are various documents concerning State Highway 121 on the west side of
Coppell. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot) is currently in the design phase of the
ramp configurations and locations. TxDot has contacted the Cities of Grapevine and Coppell to
insure that we agree on street and ramp locations. I have met with the Director of Public Works
for the City of Grapevine and in reviewing both thoroughfare plans it appears they are aligned in
regards to intersecting S.H. 121.
In researching this matter, it appears that the City of Coppell hired a firm in 1989 to review the
ramp configurations and locations. In November of 1989, a letter was sent to TxDot outlining the
City of Coppell's position. I am not opposed to the ramp locations; however, I am requesting that
TxDot review the ramps to determine if another exit ramp can be provided for north bound traffic.
I am providing you with this information and I have also scheduled a meeting with you on Friday,
February 11th, at 2:00 p.m. to briefly discuss this information.
If you have any questions prior to that time I will be happy to answer them.
