Re: Detour Signs - Belt Line
George, I just drove through on my way to Home Depot. I think the issue is the last arrow board on the
south bound side. I know the purpose is to demonstrate the merged lane. However, some might think its
designed to show here to turn left.
Does it cause any harm to turn off that last arrow board? Thanks, Mario

Mario,
I took a look at the signs. I didn't get out and measure the 1500' detour sign but the ahead arrow and so
forth. I also talked with Sgt Jackson onsite and got his opinion on the issue. He had heard from another
officer that someone had used the excuse that the combination of the ahead arrow detour as well as the
lighted arrow board, they thought they were to turn into the driveway. Apparently the officer just gave them
a warning. I have decided to leave the signs in place as they are today. We are finishing this project quite
fast and they should be compete with the intersection closure on Monday or Tuesday. Thank You for
informing me of the complaint. Maybe there is something I can do differently on future projects.
Thank You, George
