When sidewalk requests are received they are evaluated and placed on our yearly sidewalk repair list.
The evaluation assigns a priority to the repair as follows: 1 (severe hazard), 2 (some displacement at a
joint) or 3 (more of a nuisance than a safety issue, ie., holds water when it rains). The location is then
placed on our yearly repair contract and they are repaired based on priority and date complaint was
received.
Each year Council allocates about $100,000 to repair sidewalks. The project is then bid and awarded
to a contractor and work begins. We are nearing the completion of our 2006/2007 sidewalk repair
contract. Therefore, any requests received now will be evaluated and placed on our 2007/2008 repair
contract. That work should begin in about one year. In reviewing our list, I noticed one repair on your
street at 344 Westwood Ct. That complaint was called in on 4/5/2006 and was a priority 1.
You request will be evaluated in the near future and assigned a priority and placed on a future repair
list. You can view the repair list at www.ci.coppelll.tx.us and then click on Departments and Services
on the left hand side and then click on Engineering and then click Sidewalk Repair List.

Mr. Griffin,
I wanted to make you aware of some concrete issues at my residence at
335 Westwood Ct. The sidewalk has sunken in two sections and the curb
has broken as well. If this information should go to someone else,
would you please forward.
