RE: Contract Performance / Sidewalk Repair Project
Dear Mr. Dupre:
This letter is written to document an incidence of contract noncompliance at 774 Pelican Drive.
According to Specification 16 of the contract, “once work in one area has commenced, it shall be
completed and restored within 10 days.” Your company has 10 days from when the existing
sidewalk is removed to the time it is replaced and backfilled with all forms and associated mess
cleaned up.
It took almost a month and numerous contacts (between the resident, our personnel and your
personnel) from the time the sidewalk at the above address was poured until our streets crew finally
took it upon themselves to remove the forms, trash and construction tape left behind by your crew.
We understand that complaints on this kind of project will arise, however we also expect a better
response from you when we call a problem to your attention.
