Subject: FYI
Just for your info...I had a Mr. Bill Thornton with Meridian come in today for a construction meter. I explained that we
were currently completely out, but if he had his own he could use it as long as we got the serial number and took the
reading. I also explained that the $1k deposit was still required. He wasn't too happy, but said he would check to see if
they had one. Apparently, sometime when I was either on the phone (or elsewhere), he talked with Per again asking for a
construction meter. Then he called and got me (again). He said they don't have their own and what was he supposed to
do because if he didn't get one today he was going to have to shut his entire project down. I explained again, that we
were totally out and could he wait until Monday morning. Before I could finish telling him that we may be able to buy one
from one of our vendors, he got a little obnoxious and said that he needed answer today or he was going to have to shut
his job down. In his conversation with Per, he said he didn't need one 'til Monday. Anyway...I called one of the guys in to
check to see if we had any broken ones that we might be able to repair or where he might buy his own. We don't have any
that can be fixed, so I called and got his voice mail and left him the Ferguson Water Works phone number. We had put a
call in to them, but just got a voicemail. I wouldn't be concerned about any of this, but Mr. Thornton suggested that if he
didn't get some resolution today and had to shut his job down, it would be my responsibility. I'm not worried about
repercussions, but I wanted you to know in case he decides to call the higher ups with his own version of the events.
Thanks.
Michael
