Due to the school holiday they are planning to pour all three drives at one time. When we talked at our public meeting we discussed the need for the church to maintain access to the facility. Do you have any objection to this work taking place next week? I believe the gate could be opened for church members to access the facility from London Way if needed. Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this. Thanks, Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Project Engineer (972) 304-3681 >>> Larry Best <larry.best@verizon.net> 10/13/2010 11:42 AM >>> Keith and Shane, this note is a friendly reminder to the construction crews not to use the school/church driveway for heavy equipment egress/ingress. Just before 11a today I observed a large front-end loader moving south from the corner parking lot at Sandy Lake and Heartz, via the gravel drive, and getting onto Heartz Rd. from the school driveway. I don't want to sound picky about this, but I'm reinforcing the instructions Amaris Obregon, Principal, gave for two reasons: 1. Traffic patterns and flow are a big deal at the school and any heavy equipment activity on the driveway will be disruptive 2. The school/church driveway is susceptible to deterioration and heavy machinery will contribute to cracking (the driveway has been patched multiple times, with the last repair costing $20,000 this summer) Thanks for the improvements you are making along this route. Please feel free to contact me if there are any accommodations the church can make for expediting your project. Larry Best, President Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church 214-458-2378
