Screening Wall Request

meeting to discuss the offer the Lakes Coppell
Direction was provided by Council to extend the following offer to the HOA!
If it is the HOA' s intention to construct a screening wall above the proposed retaining
walls along the south side of Deforest Road (at this time, or at a future date), then the
HOA should fund the redesign and additional construction cost of the retaining walls to
support the additional loads of the screening wall. The additional cost is estimated at
$122,040. The actual cost of the construction of the screening wall would be in addition
to the $122,040. If the retaining walls are modified, then the HOA could construct the
wall along with our project or at some future date.
The Engineering Department needs to have a firm commitment in writing from the HOA
within 30 days of the date of this letter. Time is of the essence, as it is anticipated that the
project will be sent out to bid no later than October of this year.
