Thank you for your inquiry about the progress of our Bethel Road construction project. We are finally
getting close to completion of the roadway. We have some cleanup left as well as all the landscape and
irrigation. The traffic signals are about 80% complete. We are waiting on the installation of one mast arm
at the Freeport intersection, and we are waiting for the power company to hook up both signals. I have
placed a call to find out when we can expect power, however with the hurricane down south most of their
employees have been tied up down there.
Right now I don't have an answer other than to say that the contractor is obliged to complete the project by
the end of the year. I fully expect the signals to be in operation sooner than that, but without an answer
from the power company I can not be any more specific than that.

When is this traffic light going to be functional? This intersection is now too large to handle just a 4-way
stop. It's a huge headache no matter the time of day.
