ST0301A-CS100916 (2) (8/9/2011) Keith Marvin - Fwd: Aerial Crossing Alternate AlignmentPage 1 From: Keith Marvin To:Thornhill, Caleb CC:vbk@freese.com Date: 9/16/2010 10:07 AM Subject: Fwd: Aerial Crossing Alternate Alignment Attachments:ST03-01SS PLANS ALT.pdf; 5160.pdf Caleb, Attached is the plan sheet and our standard detail for the aerial crossing. The plan sheet is a little cluttered, but the pier placed at STA 1+82.16 was placed out of alignment. What we are trying to do is build the pier offset so that it can support the pipe in a cantilever fashion. We've drawn a line where we would like the sewer to go, and it is 1.51 feet south of the pier location (measured center of pier to center of proposed pipe). We will be supporting a 20" steel casing pipe containing a 12" PVC sewer line. The drilled shaft is 30" in diameter, and it was drilled 15 feet below natural ground, a minimum of 6' into shale. The reinforcing in the pier should be the same as was installed in the bridge piers. Can you and Peter look at this and give me a design for this column and pier cap. Please call me with any questions. Thanks, Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Project Engineer (972) 304-3681 >>> Scott Latta 9/16/2010 9:47 AM >>> Attached. ST03-01SS CITY OF COPPELL 1
