Mr. Alan Ratleff '~'!". Coppell City Manager ::--~ , P.O. Box 478 ~ /~ ' Coppell, Texas 75019 Dear Mr. Ratleff: As a City Manager of one of the Cities in the 5th fastest growing County in the United States, you are aware of how important transportation routes are to this County. With our tremendous population growth, highways are no longer a matter that can be ignored. We must plan today for more highways to relieve our few but crowded transportation routes. We are now in a position to take action that will foster new highways, promote new business, insure good planning and relieve some of our crowded highways. This beginning lies with our successful implementation of 2499 from D/FW to F.M. 2181. The extension of 2499 from F.M. 407 to F.M. 2181 was just recently approved for study by the Texas Highway Commission. To be successful will take your help. We must provide for public input and support, raise the required funds to conduct the studies, insure adequate right-of-ways and provide for a plan that will be cost effective for construction. This will require a consolidated effort of each City with the County providing the leadership.
