There seems to be a discrepancy with what was calculated on the initial plan "estimate of the necessary quantity" versus what is actually used on the project. JRJ is in the process of getting verification for the areas in which the sod and curlex were installed. Once these measurements have been received, a copy of the areas will be given to the COCoppell for payment for sod and curlex installed on this project. The project has 1845 linear feet of construction area, not including the intersection area. For example, if 1845 is taken and 10 foot of sod was installed on each side of roadway, the calculation comes to 4100 square yards, which blows the initial estimate of 2225 square yards out of the water. There are very few areas on this project in which sod or curlex was installed that was due to going outside job limits. I can assure you that with Larry Davis on site, me, the HOA Presidents and their respected subdivisions, Luis Parjes and Phil Berkebile, we did not go over our limits and if we did the area was minimal. JRJ and their subcontractors, along with the COCoppell and Freese & Nichols have provided a great looking product/job that we have all been complimented on by the Bethel Rd residents. As we always have done, JRJ will work on quantifying these areas and will get with you to go over once we do. Until we do so, I will only submit the bid quantity. Thank you, Dean Dumke Sr Project Manager #469-223-7879 JRJ PAVING, L. Sod is one of those items that is specifically listed as a "Plans Quantity Item". Plans quantity items are paid at the amount listed in the bid schedule. This is essentially a lump sum item where the engineer has given you his estimate of the necessary quantity. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E.
