Dean,
Attached is a draft the proposed change order number 4. I have included everything I know to be
outstanding. Please review and let me know if I'm missing anything.
I have a few comments on the exclusions shown in your proposal:
1. Exclusions 3 and 4 - We expect JRJ to be the "others" that ARK referrers to. The city will not provide
traffic control, barricading, erosion control, etc. Restoration in the form of curlex, seed, or other suitable
material will be required.
2. Exclusion 5 - This work will be included in the 2-year maintenance period where JRJ warrants against
defects in materials or workmanship. We will not hold you responsible for failure under extreme flood
conditions.
Let me know if any of these are an issue. Also give me an indication of when they can start and how
long it will take.

Attached is the change order associated with Option 2: Gabion Toe Wall &
12 Inch Gabion Mattress. Please review change order and if this is
correct, please respond informing me to proceed with this, per change
order 21R.
This work is subsidiary to the contract work time which JRJ has asked to
have stopped yesterday, 01/07/11.

Please provide me with a change order proposal for the work including
the gabion mattress. I will place this work on one final change order
with any additional outstanding changes including the reduction for the
guardrail and the traffic signal controller cabinet.

Attached is the revised quotes and sketch of area in which I received
from Ark Construction for the repair at the NE corner of the bridge.
The change order includes 2 options. Please review and let me know
which one you choose and I will then send you a revised change order
with the one you pick, plus 10% as we have previously discussed. If you
need to speak to me regarding this, please feel free to contact me.
