I have provided my client, ABQ Development Corporation, a copy of this plan and discussed the proposed location of the two median openings south of Parkway Boulevard shown on the Concept Plan with Jay Chester of ABQ. Although no dimensions are indicated on the Concept Plan, we used the scale indicated (1"-100') to determine roadway stations on Denton Tap Road for the median openings shown. The following table gives our locations of median openings scaled from the Hodges' plan and a comparision to the locations we proposed in my letter to you of July 26, 1988. DENTON TAP ROAD STATIONING OF CENTERLINE OF PROPOSED MEDIAN OPENINGS HODGES LOCATION JPCE LOCATION 186+98 186+98 182+44 182+70 177+68 178+15' NOTES 1st opening south of Parkway Blvd. 2nd opening south of Parkway Blvd. Mills Lane Intersection * Obtained from Ginn, Inc. per plans prepared for Denton Tap Road Improvements. These stations are based on a centerline station of Denton Tap Road at the Parkway Boulevard intersection of 191+13. You may wish to discuss apparent discrepencies with regards to the Mills Lane median opening with Ginn, Inc. 6001 W. Interstate 20, Suite 209, LB 32 · Arlington, Texas 76016 · Metro 1817J 572-3458 · (817J 561-2108 Mr. Mike Allen JP No. 88009 November 8, 1988 'Page 2 of 2 From our review of Hodges' plan, we are in agreement on the location of the first median opening south of Parkway Boulevard. Hodges' has located the centerline of the second median opening approximately 26 feet south of the median opening we had proposed. In addition, median openings proposed by Hodges appear to be 75 feet wide. We had proposed 60 foot wide openings in my correspondence to you of July 26, 1988. ABQ Development Corporation agrees to the centerline locations of the two proposed median openings in Denton Tap Road shown on the Concept Plan for the Univest property prepared by Hodges & Associates as defined in the table above. ABQ requires, however, that ABQ and Univest equally participate in the cost of a 60 foot wide median opening and that costs for construction of that portion of the median opening in excess of 60 feet are the responsibility of Univest Development Company, if you desire 75 foot wide openings. In response to your letter to me of October 10, 1988, ABQ wishes to include the construction of the left turn lanes that will permit access to ABQ property with the median openings in Denton Tap Road. ABQ understands that Univest Development Company has elected not to request construction of left turn lanes to access Univest property at this time. Please request your engineer or architect to advise us if they concur with the centerline location of the median openings as reported under the column headed "Hodges Location" in the table above and if the median openings should be 75 feet wide. Upon receipt of this information, we will furnish sketches of the agreed median opening locations, and left turn lanes to ABQ property, to the City of Coppell. Please provide this information to us by November 23, 1988. Please contact Jay Chester of, ABQ regarding preparation of agreements construction and any specific issues you wish to yOU · Sincerely, //~ erry Parche' , P.E.
