Huntington-CS110809 Page 1 of 1 Engineer - Signage Requests From:   Virginia Harn <Virginia.Harn@ambeacon.com> To:   "engineer@coppelltx.gov" <engineer@coppelltx.gov> Date:   8/9/2011 3:07 PM Subject:   Signage Requests CC:   Virginia Harn <vmharn@verizon.net>   To Whom It May Concern,   I live in the Huntington Ridge neighborhood located on Denton Tap and Parkway and am also President of the HOA.  I am writing this e-mail for two reasons.    1. As you exit Kingsridge Dr. and Ridgeway, onto Denton Tap, we have signs that read “do not block        intersection”.  These are great except that people don’t see or pay attention to them which makes it difficult for residents of the neighborhood to exit during the morning rush hour.  We are asking for stripes to be painted horizontally across Denton tap, in front of each exit.   2.Our neighborhood has a gate that leads to the high school, allowing for our residents’ children to walk        to the school.  Over the past 15 years that I have lived in the community, we have had problems not just with parents using that area as a loop to drop and pick up their kids, but for the students themselves to park along Black Oak Circle and Kingsridge Dr.  We have changed the lock several times, placed a “do not trespass” sign on both ends of the walkway, called out the police, left notes on the cars telling the drivers that they will be ticketed, and approached the drivers themselves.    In going through the other neighborhoods around the perimeter of the high school, I have noticed signs that read “no stopping, parking, standing during school hours”.   This seems to be a good solution for us, therefore, would like to have them installed throughout the neighborhood.   I am referring to signs similar to those we have on Denton Tap that read “do not block intersection”.  The signs would be on a poll similar to a Stop sign and would be placed throughout the neighborhood.   Now with school starting things our problems will begin again, so I am asking for your assistance.  I can be reached by phone at 214-415-5977.   Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.   Virginia Harn   file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E414D1ECity_...8/19/2011
