RE: Alex Drive Canal Rehabilitation
Dear Resident:
The City of Coppell is responsible for the perpetual maintenance of the eastern and
southern banks of the canal within the Enclaves on the Parkway subdivision as part of a
development agreement. Over the past several years, the portion of the canal that the city
is responsible for has experienced slope and wall failures.
The city recently entered into a contract with Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. to perform
field surveying to establish the limits of failures and to design improvements for the east
bank of the canal. The contract includes development of detailed construction plans for
improvements, meeting with residents to present the proposed solutions, and construction
administration for the repair project.
The surveying process will begin in the next few weeks; therefore, it is necessary for
surveyors to be moving in and around the canal area with their equipment for a period of
