Re: 16" Waterline - parkway Blvd.
Dear Mr. Chester:
In mid-1985, the City of Coppell installed a 16" waterline north
along Denton Tap Road from Sandy Lake to Parkway BOulevard. This
was part of the City's original agreement with Univest to extend
City water to Parkway Boulevard.
In addition to the above, Univest participated via a change order
to the Denton Tap Waterline project by funding the extension of
the 16" waterline from Denton Tap Road to Town Center. This
extension was also part of the City/Univest agreement.
At this time, the City is desiring to include, with their 24"
crosstown waterline project, the installation of the remaining
segment of 16" waterline still needed to complete the
distribution loop in Parkway Boulevard. We have enclosed a
location map and construction plans showing this referenced
segment (Line C).
A portion of this segment, per the agreement, is required to be
funded by ABQ, and the remainder by the City. Our records show
that the applicable portions of responsibility are as foll0ws:
City of Coppell: 930 LF
ABQ: 1485 LF
Total:
2415 LF
For your information, the obligations for both parties were based
on ownership'of frontage to Parkway Boulevard, each entity being
responsible along their own frontage.
It is the desire and intent of the City to-first make you aware
of this project, and secondly, secure an escrow deposit from ABQ
to fund your portion.

Including this segment into the scope of a much larger project,
the 24" Crosstown. Waterline, should secure very reasonable and
mutually beneficial unit prices.
Our intent is to be ready to receive bids for this project in
early November, 1988. With this schedule in mind, the City would
like to begin workiHg with you at this t~me on any details
needing to be worked out. The actual escrow deposit amount can
be determined between the date bids are received and the contract
awarded.
