Good afternoon.
I hope it is not too presumptuous of me to directly respond to the below determination. It is my belief
that a critical piece of data was overlooked in this determination, and as such I felt the need to bring it to
your attention. For everyone's benefit, the documents attached are the same one's that have been
reviewed in making this determination. The data that I believe was overlooked appears on the
attachment entitled Thweatt-PN910923.PDF. This document is a survey that the city had conducted prior
to the purchase date as shown on the Warranty Deed. Looking at this document there is a line shown as
"PROPOSED FUTURE ROW LINE" running parallel to and 55 feet from the existing property line.
The one thing that I believe has been overlooked in this process, is that before we bought the land,
before we applied for any park development grants, and long before we gave the park a name, the City
intended to use a portion of this land to expand Sandy Lake Road. The survey dated 9-06-1991
demonstrates that intention. All the street improvements with the exception of the bridge will be
contained within this area that was identified as future ROW.
The City of Coppell hereby requests that this data be considered, and that we be allowed to move
forward with this much needed project.
