I have not e-mailed or spoken with Mr. Keeping since 12/29/10. At that point I explained to him the city contractor would
remove the sign and median at Sandy Lake Rd reconstruction time. In a face to face conversation on 12/16/10, I told him
that the city would not do anything with the sign and median until he produced a 'petition' signed by the Summer Place
residents. At that time, Mr. Keeping had not attempted to discuss the issue with his neighbors.

Do you know if Mr. Keeping was able to get consensus from his neighbors on their wishes for the sign? I have never spoken to him
but Tim has and explained the situation as you laid it out in your email.
Surely we have never allowed a group of citizens do their own demo work on City ROW?

I was contacted today by Mr. Rupert Keeping of the Summer Place subdivision. Ken suggested I let you know in case you had
already discussed the situation with Mr. Keeping.
Mr. Keeping has requested that the city remove the monument sign and median island at the entrance to the Summer Place
Subdivision. He seemed to understand that we would be willing to do it at the time of the Sandy Lake Road reconstruction,
however that time frame is apparently not acceptable to him. He is asking if he and his neighbors can remove the sign and median
island themselves. They would like us to assist with the disposal of the debris, and patching of the portion of the street where the
island would be removed.
Before I respond to this request, I wanted to see what your thoughts were. I'm available at your convenience to discuss this.
