ESTIMATE - 11-19-2008.XLS
Keith, we have looked at the possibilities for reworking the project by narrowing the roadway and constructing the
bridge in phases allowing maintenance of traffic on the existing roadway and bridge. We have developed
construction cost estimates for the revised pavement width (41-foot and 37-foot back to back) and an estimate for
staging the bridge construction.
In order to accomplish the design changes requested, without modifying the current alignment, we have identified
the following design fees:
Grapevine Creek to Belt Line Road -
Basic Plan Modification - $27,500
Redesign Storm Line B from Approx. Station 5+00 to end (including associated 24-inch Water Line crossings) -
$7,500
Coppell Road to Grapevine Creek -
Basic Plan Modification - $24,000
Bridge Plan Modification (first structure) - $12,500
Second Bridge Plan (structure after demolition) - $30,000
Sequencing Schematic and description - $5,000
This effort will take approximately 6 weeks to accomplish.
As noted in the estimates, we anticipate saving approximately $160,000 in the roadway costs by reducing the
width from 45-feet wide to 37-feet wide. The bridge costs are estimated to increase by approximately 50% due
to the sequencing and staging of the construction. Note that the construction time will also increase.
I would be happy to come by at your convenience and discuss the various issues associated with the project re-
design. Please let me know that you receive this message. Thanks!
