Please verify the minimum thickness of the bridge sidewalk at the face of curb.

The typical road sections on sheet SC0.03 shows a 6" curb (typ). The bridge sidewalk on sheet SC1.02 is shown as 8" minimum
thickness at the face of the curb. Should the bridge sidewalk match the curb height?
