Dear Russell:
As per your request, enclosed is one set of construction plans as
previously approved for construction of Heartz Road between Sandy
Lake Road and Parkway Boulevard. As we discussed, five cover
sheets are included in this set. These cover sheets and the
system of numbering the construction plan drawings permits
flexibility to perform the construction under three separate
scenarios without changing sheet numbers on the plans as follows:
1. Entire job under one contract by ABQ Development.
2. Water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage construction
by the Coppell Municipal Utility District. Paving and
Grading Improvements under a separate contract by ABQ
Development.
3. Grading construction (Subgrade Preparation) under a
separate contract by ABQ Development. Water, sanitary
sewer, storm drainage and paving improvements under a
subsequent contract also by ABQ Development
Attached are three sheets listing drawings for each set of plans
that will be prepared for each of the construction scenarios
defined above.
Since construction plans have been previously approved, ABQ
Development requests that the City of Coppell provide stamped and
approved plans to us that we can then issue to the contractor or
contractors authorizing him to proceed with construction. Since
submitting six sets of construction plans for each construction
scenario would be very costly, please let me know if the City can
keep record set(s) of the overall construction plans, similar to
the one set attached, and stamp multiple copies of the five cover
sheets for return to us. This will allow us to subsequently
prepare construction plan sets as appropriate for each contract
with cover sheets containing the City approval stamp.
