FYI ... Today at the eastern end of Southwestern at approx. 1:30, our firefighters observed the utility contractor working
below grade in an environment that we consider to be unsafe. David Malone went to the site. The contractor stated they
would be done with the task "momentarily", so, he told them to finish that task...our mistake, at 3:30 they were still in a
trench that is not properly excavated or 'boxed'.
I am not asking you to take any action, just letting you know we visited with them and they did not follow our direction
very well....yes, we will be more firm and direct with our directions next time.
