Kody, we as the design engineers do not provide an inspection checklist or perform the inspection. Typically,
this responsibility is that of the city inspectors. The best information I can provide is to follow the requirements
set forth in the Texas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance
of Highways, Streets, and Bridges 2004. Specifically for bridge decks, the applicable sections are Items 422
(Reinforced Concrete Slab), 421 (Hydraulic Cement Concrete), and 420 (Concrete Structures).

My subcontractor is on schedule to pour a portion of the bridge deck the week of December 28 on the
Southwestern Blvd. Project. I wanted to see if you would like to provide a pre-pour inspection list to insure that all
requirements are met prior to placing concrete. If you would like to forward that list to me I will get a copy to my
subcontractor.
