I thought someone woudl contac tus, or start cutting the grass, when the sod was in place. As it turned out, people here receiveed a letter from the City telling us to cut oru grass. So everyone was in a panic over the weekend. In truth, as I pointed out to Clay, I believe no one really knew what to expect in terms of grass maintenance, given that the project was ongoing -- so the notification was something of a shock, and somewhat ambiguous because ti did not waht area the resident was responsbile for. As for outstanding issue, it really is hard to see the little things unless you are out there cutting the grass. the items are small -- fill needed here and there, lots of small construction debris that you really woudl nto spot unless you were mowing. Surface rocks, which are typical when the earth has been regraded. Its just going to ttkae some time to get the area back into "lawn" quality. Yes, I saw some patches where the first seeding did not take. I think the western portion (from the bridge) got the better seeding. I might walk the area and not spot anything wrong, but when I am pushing a mower, you jsut see spots where a hazard exists. All the utility access poitns need to be checked to see that earth is filled around then. that catches a mower tire, and a blade can break, or worse -- a shaft can break. I knwo you guys are doing everything possible to get the roqad right. My concern centers on the timing and content fo the letter that was sent out. I will discuss this in greater detail with Clay at our appointment. Thank you for your response. Good luck in your continued service to our community. It is not said enough, but city staff is truly appreciated for your efforts. That is indeed why you continue to see contractor personnel on site watering and performing whatever maintenance is being done. You might also receive a call from Keith Marvin in Engineering today as I have asked him to provide you with the latest information. I will be visiting with Keith and Ken today also. Clay
