ST1002-CS100902 (9/9/2011) Keith Marvin - RE: SignagePage 1 From: "Ken Hevron" <khevron1@verizon.net> To: "'Keith Marvin'" <kmarvin@coppelltx.gov> Date: 9/2/2010 5:12 PM Subject: RE: Signage Keith: Thanks very much for the response. I know that one of the things we concluded at our conference on August 24 was that it would really help to use more specificity in referring to the area affected by the construction/detour, and that "Old Town Coppell" was much better than the present "West Bethel Road." I believe your solution will improve the current ambiguity and lack of signage and appreciate your efforts in this regard. I look forward to seeing the changes next week. Maybe the misspelled detour sign that’s there now does that, but I don’t think so, as there is no reference to the businesses or, for that matter, to “Old Town Coppell.” Maybe also add something there that makes that clear.               I think the three identical signs on Denton Tap and Bethel Road itself would go a long way toward solving the problem. It would also help to add a top line to the big signs on west Bethel (did you say west of Freeport?) and Southwestern that now say, “BUSINESSES REMAIN OPEN . . . ,” which added line would say, “OLD TOWN COPPELL,” so that then they would make it clear that the businesses that sign is referring to are the ones in Old Town Coppell. As they are now, at least for the one on Southwestern, one doesn’t know what businesses are being referred to.               Thanks, Keith, I look forward to hearing from you.   Ken Hevron   file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4C7F9877City_of...9/9/2011
