Jerry Parche Consulting Engineers 320 Westway Place, Suite 501 Arlington, TX 76018 Re: Heartz Road - Sight Distance at Sandy Lake Road Intersection Dear Mr. Parche: As follow-up to your May 2, 1989 correspondence regarding the above referenced issue, I wish to clarify for the record some points needing addressed for the benefit of future reference. In general I agree with the contents of your letter. For clarification, however, I wish to point out that items one and two on pages 2 and 3 of your letter should be qualified as follows: Either option 1 or 2 as you presented are options to the City at a later date if signalization of the intersection is desired prior to Sandy Lake Road being improved to it's ultimate 6-lane divided thoroughfare status. Option 2 would be necessary (ie., localized intersection regrading) primarily in the event that split-signal phasing (option 1) be undesirable to the city for whatever reasons that may be discovered whenever a traffic signal warrant study is performed at this location. Both options 1 and 2 would not be necessary together unless the traffic signal warrant study discovered this to be required. Kevin Peiff;r///~P ~E.
