Mr. Hatton,
The power poles were moved months ago. A simple visit to the site by TWC personnel would show the location. In fact
the pole that I believe your riser is on has not, and will not move. As far as plans go, I understood that you were
coordinating with Caleb Thornhill of Freese & Nichols for electronic copies of plans. They are the designer of this section as
well as the section of Bethel Road.
I look forward to the submittal of Bethel Road.
My question on Southwestern is relative to completion of the aerial work, and has nothing to do with underground.
I would like to meet with TW Cable to discuss how we can better coordinate these CIP projects.

Keith,
We have completed the design of the section along Bethel Rd from Denton Tap
to Armstrong ( Penfolds ), and I submitted the plans to TWC for their
review. There are no other conflicts in that area as far as I know of.
However we do have one section of underground that will need to be replaced
on S. Coppell Rd between Bethel and Southwestern. This section is a coax
cable that feeds from the west side of S. Coppell Rd into the city service
center. This cable comes off a power pole and crosses S. Coppell Rd into the
service center, so placement of the new power poles is a factor that will
effect our design. We will need to know where the new poles are going to be
placed before we can proceed with the design on this section.
If you could please forward me the AutoCAD files for road widening between
Bethel and Southwestern on S. Coppell Rd. it would greatly speed up the
process of our design, and ensure that we clear the proposed road widening
and any city utility placement. Also please forward any plans available that
show where the new power poles will be placed.
I am unaware of any underground along Southwestern, all work in that area
should only be aerial. If I am mistaken about that, I would also need the
AutoCAD files for that section as well.
Respectfully,
David Hatton

David/Warren,
I wanted to touch base with you on the status of our City of Coppell
Projects.
We opened bids for the construction of Coppell Road South (Southwestern to
Bethel) on Tuesday. We plan to award the project in June, with construction
beginning in July. We have yet to see a permit from you for any work in
this corridor. I know you have some minor work on the aerial cable to
attach to new Oncor poles and detach from the ones to be removed. There was
some discussion of the underground an whether it would need to be relocated.
We are continuing to move forward with Southwestern Blvd (Coppell Road to
Denton Tap). I understand your new cable is in place. It appears you need
to complete the demolition of the old. We expect to begin construction in
June.
Bethel Road (Penfolds to Denton Tap) is ready to move to construction as
soon as all utilities are clear. We have been coordinating with your
designer for copies of plans. I believe he has had everything for a few
weeks.
I hope you are making progress on these projects. Please let me know if you
need anything else from us to move these forward.
