Construction Plan Review Comments — 1 Submittal
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
General -
1. Location of Road does not conform to City of Coppell Thoroughfare Plan.
2. Add a space in Belt Line Road, not Beltline.
3. Verify correct street names throughout set of plans.
Cover -
4. Revise vicinity map to show accurate location of existing and proposed streets.
Traffic Control -
5. Belt Line Road must be open to 3 lanes of northbound traffic no later than 3:30 pm each
day.
6. On a 45 mph street the City of Coppell requires the use of a flashing arrow board for each
lane reduction.
7. Longitudinal buffer space on 45 mph road is 195'.
8. Show Dividend Drive on plan & revise TTC if necessary.
Removal Plan -
9. Remove existing inlet.
10. Label proposed & existing utilities on plan.
Intersection Improvement Plan -
11. Field connect to existing storm sewer pipe.
12. Show existing franchise utilities in area. Possible conflict with new inlet location.
13. Need one crosswalk across Belt Line Road. Provide ramps on both ends with landing.
May need to modify median nose to fit.
14. Revise "puppy tracks" to tie to first left lane and not outside lane.
15. Add stop bar for southbound Belt Line Road.

16. Provide 5' Sidewalk from intersection to south property line (will tie to new gas station on
corner of Dividend Drive).
17. Dowel into existing lane.
Traffic Signal General Notes -
18. Contractor will need to provide signal poles (round with transformer base).
19. Traffic signs shall be 3M DG3 reflective sheeting or equal.
20. Provide Opticom multimode with GPS & IR.
Traffic Signal Layout -
21. Show existing fiber optic from pull boxes in median & tie to cabinet (splice).
22. Show confirmation light w /extension, Transformer base and ILSN.
23. Revise ILSN sign lettering.
Please make the necessary changes and submit these marked -up plans and two sets of revised
plans to the City for review. There may be additional comments marked throughout the plans and
specifications that may need to be addressed as well. If you have any question please contact this
