We are limited to a 10% profit on State funded projects(TXDOT) by state law. We do not have this
restriction on other types of projects normal markup for any business is 15 %. Also on TXDOT
projects we are not alowed to charge for the cost of borrowed money other projects we are. Hope this

Thanks for sending this revised bid. There are a few items that have
changed from the previous bid that we need some clarification on. The
initial bid had a Fixed Fee (profit) of 10%, and this one has increased
to 15%. Can you either explain the difference to our satisfaction, or
reduce it to the previous level? This estimate also includes a 2% bank
interest expense that was not in the previous estimate. Again, please
explain, or remove this item.
I believe we are now waiting on an agreement from FWWR to be approved
by the City of Coppell for reimbursement for this expense
plus the
crossing itself. I have tentatively scheduled this item for our October
13, 2009 City Council meeting. In order to make that meeting I will
need a draft copy of the agreement for our attorney to review as soon as
possible.
