City Manager "":' "'"~ City of Coppell 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, Texas 75019 Re: SH-161/SH-190 Connector Freeway Dear Mr. Ratliff: Thank you for your invitation to make a br2ef presentation on the SH-161/SH-190 freeway connection and to respond to questions and concerns of the Coppell City CouncS1. David Dean has asked me to relay that both he and I will be present on July 12 for the City Council meeting and that he looks forward to discussing this important project with you. As you requested, a proposed resolution is enclosed. Please make any changes that are necessary as no pride of authorship is attached. Additionally, a "fact sheet" is enclosed which sets forth major points and considerations of the proposed SH-161/SH-190 freeway connection. A copy of correspondence from Bob Neeley, Executive Director of the Texas Turnpike Authority, is also enclosed for your reference. As indicated in the correspondence, the Texas Turnpike Authority supports the proposed freeway connection in that the connection will serve the long-term objectives of the Turnpike Authority and will not preclude a southern extension into the Dallas Central Business District. If I may be of any assistance to you, the City Council, or your staff, please do not hesitate to contact me. David and I look forward to seeing you at the Council presentation. If you desire, I am available to meet with you and members of your staff between now and the 12th to discuss this project in greater detail. Sincerely, John P. Kincade JPK: jh cc: David A. Dean, Esq.
