Dear Wayne:
The contract between L. H. Lacy (contractor) and the Coppell
Independent School District (owner) for the construction of
Parkway Boulevard extending west of Denton Tap Road and the High
School Access Road is substantially completed. The constructed
streets have been accepted. Items of wo---~under this contract
which are not completed at this time include:
1. Guardrail at the west end of Parkway Boulevard.
2. Center buttons in the High School Access Road.
Grass in the Parkway Boulevard median and other seeded
areas.
These items should not prevent traffic from using the streets
constructed under this contract. Therefore, pursuant to a
request from Mr. Larry Davis, City Inspector, authorization is
requested to open Parkway Boulevard west of Denton Tap Road to
traffic via access from Denton Tap Road. Of course opening of
Parkway Boulevard should only follow acceptance of the connection
to Denton Tap Road by the City of Coppell.
Parkway Boulevard and the High School Access Road will provide
vehicular access to the new Coppell High School. The C.I.S.D.
has given verbal concurrence with the immediate opening of these
roadways.
