Currently there are 150 to 200 vehicles per day that enter and exit Northlake Drive at Beltline Road. A speed limit sign shows 50 mph at this intersection. There are no speed limit signs on Northlake Drive. During the past two years, our employees have been involved in three accidents at this intersection. Most have been rear end collisions from high speed vehicles coming from the Beltline- Denton Tap intersection. Plans are being made to four lane Beltline Road East/West from Coppell to Carrollton. The intersection of Beltline East/Northlake Drive should receive treatment to accommodate semi- trailer trucks access/exit from Northlake Drive and provide a traffic controlled intersection. In the meantime, please consider lowering the speed limit on Beltline East and possibly posting a "Plant Entrance" sign to alert motorist of heavy use of this intersection. Also, Northiake Drive needs a posted speed limit in addition to "No Parking" signs along both sides. Thank you for your rapid response.
