Dear Dan:
As a follow up to our meeting on Friday, October 2, 1992 regarding the above
referenced project, we would like to investigate the possibility of Microtunnelling
Bethel Road as an alternate to the cut, fill, and repave method that was bid.
Attached is a Preliminary Cost Comparison Form listing the deletions and
additions for the Microtunnelling alternative. These plan quantities are estimated from
sheets 5 through 9 of the construction plans.
Please give us your analysis of this proposed alternative and the additional cost
to the City. We would like to resolve this issue prior to making an Engineering
recommendation to the City.
Please advise at your earliest convenience.
