We have also made changes to drawings as required by Change Order No. 4. Dwg. S2 - This drawing is resubmitted without change. The upper landing and circular walkway are detailed on drawings 300 -A and 318 -A1. The ladder below the storage floor is for temporary access during construction and will be replaced by the spiral staircase required by the contract drawings. We will have a safety climb on the temporary ladder, but not a safety cage. DM. S6 -A1 - This drawing is resubmitted without change. The sleeves installed for the conduits in the wall are oversized to fit the conduit size that is called out on the drawing. (A 2" PVC sleeve is actually a piece of 3" PVC which will allow the 2" to pass through.) Dwg. S15 -B1 - We request that a change be allowed on this ladder. We propose to use a' /2" x 3" siderail in lieu of the specified 3" channel. This revision has been allowed by your office on recent projects. I have added drawings 306 -A and 306 -B to the resubmittal to detail the proposed deviation. DM. 300 -A - A note has been added to this drawing to denote the safety climb. Access to the storage floor will be by way of the spiral staircase. The details for the storage floor and spiral staircase will be submitted in the coming month. Dwg_ 301 -A i - Addendum 1 of the contract called for rungs with knurled surfaces. Also, it is our understanding that OSHA no longer allows smooth rung ladders. We request that the rebar, as detailed, be accepted. The drawing has been resubmitted without change. Dwg. 315 -A1 - The drawing and the landings have been revised to minimize the space at the wall due to the curvature of the concrete pedestal. Dwg. 322 -A - This drawing is resubmitted without change. The obstruction light will be clamped to the handrail as shown on Sheet 5 of the contract drawings. Mounting will be installed in the field, as required by the electrician. Dwg. 401, 402 -A. 402 -6. 402 -C, 402 -D, 410-A and 410 -13 - These drawings have been revised to reflect the changes outlined in Change Order No. 4. Front portion of the rail incorporates wheel guides for operating alignment of the trolley on the rail. The bearing wall surface for the brake pawl has as a secondary safety feature, protruding stcps die formed at 12" increments.This feature is valuable under wet or possible oily conditions while engaging the trolley brake pawl on the bearing surface. Back portion of the TS rail features a continuous slot designed to retain the hex head of a 3/8" bolt assembly... bolts used for clamping the rail to the supporting structure and interconnecting the rail sections with splice channels. The slot arrangement allows the clamps to be located to suit the attachement spacing without special drilling at in -field alteratons. All rail sections –with the exception of the bottom and top rails –may be reversed or interchanged, since protrusion stops are identical in both directions. The bottom rail is and chamfered for smoother entry of the trolley and equipped to retain the ice – guard ( optional ). The top rail is fitted with a bolt stop to prevent the trolley user from accidentally moving off the rail.
