Preconstruction Meeting for Beltline Rd. East Paving
Project Follow-up (Tickler 3/30/89)
On Wednesday, March 29, myself and Per Birdsall attended the above
mentioned preconstruction meeting.
Bud Bean (Project Engineer for Dallas County) opened the meeting
by calling for utility companies to address comments they had
about removal and relocation of conflicting utility lines (gas,
electric, telepone and petroleum pipe line). Then Mr. Bean asked
that the Railroad Representative discuss the matter of raising
their tracks to meet the grade of the proposed paving.
After discussing the issue of the grade change of the railroad,
Mr. Bean asked for comments from the cities that were involved
in the project. At that time, Wade Mauldin (City of Carrollton
Traffic Control Representative) commented on plans for controlling
traffic during the portions of the project which were to take
place within the City of Carrollton's city limits.
When Mr. Mauldin had completed his comments, I spoke with Mr. Bean
and Ron Moller (Austin paving Co.) about my concerns as to the
time frame in which their project would begin in the area in which
the 12" sanitary sewer line was to be abandon by the contractor
for the constructioh of the Valley Ranch Center. Mr. Bean informed
me that the start date £or grading in that portion of the project
was to be sometime in May 1989. I informed him that the Valley
Ranch people would need to schedule their construction according
to the Beltline Rd. Improvements project's scheduling.
Mr. Bean then asked for comments from Austin Paving concerning
proposed start dates for each phase of the project.
It was then determined that the initial start of the project would
be at the Hutton Rd. intersection. There was a few comments from
Dallas County Road and Bridge representativbes about grading plans
and also comments from
