ST8505-CS 890120January 20, 1989 Memorandum To: From: Subject: Russell Doyle, City Engineer Trando, Deputy City Manager/Finance Director~ Frank County's Request for $202,960.00 At this time the only funds available for this project would have to come from the surplus funds, if any, from the Beltline North-South project. In a memo from Kevin Peiffer, dated December 5, 1988, he estimated that the Beltline North-South project would come in under budget by approximately $330,000.00. This amount does not include the additional street lights that will be required at a future date. I have estimated that the additional lights will cost approximately $50,000.00. Therefore, we will need to encumber that amount out of the surplus funds thereby reducing the $330,000.00 to $280,000.00. At the present time this amount appears to be sufficient to cover the request made by the County, but, bear.in mind that the project is not c~mplete and I cannot ,q~aranteq ,that there w%ll be any th/s project at all. Although I will continue to search for sources of funding for this project, we may have to request that the County grant us up to two years to pay them conveying our assurance that the City of Coppell will accept it's financial obligation. If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me. FT/lr xc: Alan D. Ratliff, City Manager BLTLNERD.001
