Please let me know what they need. I also left you a message yesterday about John Burns Construction. They do not appear on our list of approved Atmos installers. The three vendors on our approved list were the only ones that appeared to be acceptable to all franchise utility companies. If you have documentation from the franchise utilities that John Burns is acceptable to perform the joint trench work, please provide it for our consideration. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Project Engineer (972) 304-3681 6.1 Pay Item #276 Old Town Wayfinding Signs: This pay item shall consist of the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and removal of Old Town Wayfinding signs. The signs shall be constructed using standard industry practice for large signs. Any signs located within the city right of way shall be crashworthy, and shall be installed so they do not obstruct visibility, and be anchored adequately to prevent it from falling or blowing into the roadway. The contractor shall submit shop drawings showing sign fabrication details for review prior to fabrication. The sign face shall be multi colored artwork similar to the example shown. The printing shall utilize UV resistant ink to prevent fading, and the surface shall be all-weather. The city will provide final artwork in digital format for use in creating the sign. Any set-up expense the contractor may have in creating the sign shall be included in this pay item. Sign face shall be 4’x8’. Signs will be installed at the following locations: 1.An angle sign with 2 sign faces will be installed at Southwestern Blvd. and Denton Tap Road 2.An angle sign with 2 sign faces will be installed at Bethel Road and Freeport Parkway. 3.A two sided sign (2 visible faces) will be installed at West Sandy Lake Road and S. Coppell Road. 4.Two single sided signs will be installed at Denton Tap and Bethel Road. One sign north of the intersection, and one sing south of the intersection. Where signs encroach private property, the city will secure permission for installation, however the contractor will be responsible for restoration of landscaping, irrigation, or any other damage to property resulting from installation or removal of the sign. The contractor will be responsible for maintenance of these signs for the duration of the project. If at any time the sign is damaged, or knocked down, the contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing it at no additional expense to the owner. If the ink on the sign fades to a point where it is no longer legible for vehicular traffic, the contractor shall be responsible for replacement of the sign face at no additional expense to the owner. Measurement and Payment shall be made on the basis of price bid per each (EA) sign face, regardless of method of installation, and shall be total compensation for furnishing all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the work and maintaining sign throughout the project. Upon completion of the project, the signs shall be removed and delivered to the city.
