SUBJECT: Grapevine Trunk Sewer Main

I have contacted Stephen Curran, the chairman of the Grapevine
Creek Concerned Citizen's Committee, concerning the letter and the
minutes which he provided recently. There were two discrepancies
in the minutes. Those were that trees in the creek bottom would
have to be removed if the sewer line goes in the creek, and that
the alternative we were looking at was the "next best alternative"
not the "best alternative."
I informed Mr. Curran that we would like to meet again on Monday at
6:30 concerning the issues raised in the previous meeting. I also
indicated that we would be sending letters out to have a group
meeting on Thursday, April 23rd concerning the project.
Because of the importance of this project, I informed Mr. Curran
that based on those two meetings, staff would be going to City
Council on April 28th to make a recommendation concerning this
project.
Myself and Steve will keep you informed of the progress of this
project next week concerning the meeting with the select group, the
meeting with the overall group, and the recommendation going
forward to City Council for April 28th.
