RE: Executive Drive
Dear Mr. Chovan:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the referenced plans and has the following
comments to offer:
Show gas main in paving plan profiles.
Recessed inlets in sag are required to be a minimum of 10 feet with 21" laterals,
as per City of Dallas Drainage Design Manual.
3. Extend 10" water line 20 feet past fire hydrants.
4. Locate water valves as indicated on water and sewer plan.
5. Gate valve is required to be a minimum of 8".
Provide an 8" water line lateral instead of 6" lateral on Executive Drive near the
Wrangler intersection.
The following comments were made regarding the drainage plans:
a. Show existing contours on the drainage area map
b. Standard size pipe must be used in storm drainage system (51" RCP not
acceptable)
c. Provide a detail for junction box for 66" RCP into double 5x3 RBC
d. Airline Drive plans show an existing 48" RCP in Airline Drive instead of the
54" RCP. Please verify.
e. Provide note stating that traffic must be maintained at all times during
installation of box culvert under Airline Drive.
f. Show existing flows in all existing storm sewer systems.
